Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Procurement Agent (Level 4) to join the Supply Chain team based out of Everett, Washington.

The successful candidate will have at least a 2 year background in the wire bundle or electrical component categories, experience in Supply Chain Operations, the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and the ability to work effectively with business partners as part of an integrated team. The candidate should demonstrate ability to effectively anticipate important or critical events, identify resource requirements and assign responsibility for specific work. The ability to lead strategic discussion and make business decisions that enhance Boeing supply chain performance is crucial. The selected individual should possess excellent problem-solving and strategic decision-making skills. They should be proficient in training and mentoring lower-level employees, skilled in negotiation, demonstrating strong business acumen, and have a comprehensive understanding of suppliers.

This position will lead the development and execution of wire bundle and electrical component supplier deliveries. This position requires the Procurement Agent to integrate and partner with BCA Contracts, Category Management, Engineering, and Fabrication teams. The Procurement Agent will develop procurement and supply chain solutions, strategies, and policies to support customer requirements, build positive relationships, and knowledge of supplier tech management.

It will be required of the Procurement Agent to lead teams and integrate inputs from multiple suppliers - reporting out to leadership as needed. As part of the leadership opportunity, possessing the technical skill to train and deploy knowledge among team members will also be a requirement. This will be an opportunity to help prioritize Boeing needs amongst suppliers and have a high-level impact on the electrical category. Travel to suppliers on “as needed” basis, will also be a key requirement of this role.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads teams and integrate inputs from multiple suppliers – create leadership review presentations as needed
  • Conducts risk, issues and opportunities management and leads in anticipating future risk at suppliers
  • Manages supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and financial performance
  • Provides oversight and management of supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and financial performance
  • Builds positive relationships
  • Participates on supply chain process improvement teams and identifies improvement opportunities for potential integration into supplier contract strategies
  • Facilitates pricing for parts purchase

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience working directly with suppliers or supplier management
  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • 3+ years of experience in a role that required strong written and oral communication skills
  • Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally as needed

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work or military experience
  • 2+ years experience in wire bundle or electrical component categories
  • Experience in supply chain operations

Typical Education/Experience: 
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).
