The 2025 K-Star Analyst Programs is an opportunity for you to join a leading investment services firm, directly out your undergraduate career.

We are recruiting for multiple Analyst Programs within the K-Star platform in Dallas, TX, including a rotational Trainee Program, Asset-Backed Finance Operations Program, and Direct Lending Program. These 2-year programs (July 2025 - July 2027) will provide robust learning and development opportunities. At the conclusion of the various programs, there is potential to extend employment for exceptional performers based on mutual interest and business needs.

KKR Real Estate Overview

KKR Real Estate was founded in 2011 on the belief that a dedicated real estate team with access to KKR’s global investment platform could create differentiated deal flow and compelling risk-adjusted returns for its investors. The primary mandate of KKR Real Estate is to leverage the KKR brand, relationships, industry expertise, and proprietary knowledge of the Firm (where appropriate) together with the real estate expertise of the team to create differentiated deal flow for its investors. Led by Ralph Rosenberg, Global Head of KKR Real Estate, the team has approximately 140 real estate investment and asset management professionals and has grown to over $75 billion of AUM. Its capabilities across real estate equity, real estate loans, and real estate securities, under the same leadership team, has allowed it to create a global portfolio of approximately $262 billion of assets to which it lends or owns as of June 30, 2024.

KKR Real Estate Credit and K-Star Investment Services Overview

KKR Real Estate Credit was formed in 2015 to invest in real estate credit products and complement KKR Real Estate’s private equity platforms in the U.S. and Western Europe. KKR Real Estate Credit is an integrated real estate credit business that invests through loans and securities across the risk spectrum, from core to opportunistic. KKR Real Estate Credit has approximately $40 billion of AUM as of June 30, 2024, and invests primarily through seven main pools of capital.

K-Star Asset Management LLC ("K-Star") was formed in 2022 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of KKR. K-Star is a dedicated investment services platform that supports underwriting, asset management, loan origination, securities investing, risk management, and client experience for KKR Real Estate Credit as it continues to scale. The K-Star team includes industry specialists in special servicing, asset management, due diligence, and loan closing, among other functional areas.

2025 K-Star Full-Time Analyst Programs

Analyst Trainee Program

Analyst Trainees will rotate through three of K-Star’s critical real estate functions, spending eight months with each of the Credit Asset Management, Special Servicing, and Due Diligence teams, gaining foundational exposure to the key tenets of the business and developing the core competencies for success. As part of the Credit Asset Management team, they will help monitor and report on the sponsor/borrower, underlying assets, market conditions and identify and mitigate risk. Working with the Special Servicing team, these hires will be part of will be part of resolution management and modification of loan provisions with the goal of preserving collateral. On the Due Diligence team, the Analyst Trainees will help evaluate risk factors and pricing and present scenario analysis to aid in decision making. Qualified candidates will also be expected to participate in special projects and assignments related to the growth of the platform.

Asset-Backed Finance Operations Analyst Program

ABF Operations Analyst hires at K-Star will work to support the Asset-Backed Finance (ABF) Mortgage trading desk given the significant AUM growth of KKR’s Residential Mortgage investment portfolio. Analysts will support all critical functions, working closely with the team leads within K-Star and investment professionals within the Firm’s Credit & Markets business. Some core responsibilities of the role will include assisting with settling trades and ensuring data integrity, overseeing multiple counterparties and vendors, providing continuous surveillance of data and working with servicers to ensure accuracy, managing risk to ensure successful cash remittances and early identification of problem assets, and internal and external reporting on the portfolio. Qualified candidates will get the opportunity to be a part of a growing function within the K-Star Investment Services platform.

Direct Lending Analyst Program

Direct Lending Analysts will build analytical and professional skills by working on live deals through all stages of the deal process from origination to deal closing or by working on the asset management of already closed deals. Analysts will be responsible for helping the team underwrite properties, perform market research, participate in deal presentation, and present their recommendations to the investment committee. We are looking for candidates eager to be a part of a high-growth platform who are team-oriented with a passion for investing and a demonstrated interest in real estate.
