This role is one of the senior team members in the Design team for Marmon Industrial Water. The role is to execute engineering activities such as detailed design, Piping design, design calculations, Tolerance stack ups, and manufacturing drawings. The selected candidate will be responsible for the quality of deliverables and for managing time for all the projects carried out.

Position Overview:

The selected candidate will be responsible for the quality of deliverables and for managing time for all the projects carried out.

Key Responsibilities / Functions:

• Design and develop Piping Systems, Static Equipment, maintain present product designs thru Continuous Improvement, VAVE and ensure designs comply with industry codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers, Electrical Engineers and other stakeholders to deliver accurate designs.
• Conduct clash detection and design validation to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain proper documentation and revision control of design files.
• On-time project delivery while upholding utmost technical standards and quality standards for the deliveries within agreed budgets will be the key metrics of performance measurement
• Contributing to the business through innovative ideas and through generating IP for the organization

Required Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge)

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related technical major
• Experience in Mechanical product design at system or sub-system level in Piping Industry.
• Hands on experience Structural Skid Modelling, Static Equipment Modelling.
• Knowledge of piping Layouts, isometrics and material Specifications.
• Able to read and understand P&ID.
• Familiarity with static equipment (Pressure Vessels, heat exchanges, tanks) is a plus.
• Excellent understanding of materials, processes and finishing operations.
• Good understanding of ASME, ANSI and other Piping Standards.
• Expertise in GD&T, Tolerance stacks up, DFMEA and Concept Selection Metrics
• Exposure to manufacturing environment
• An understanding of huge fabrications, piping, industrial structures, pressure vessels, tanks, valves, pumps used in water treatment.
• Expertise in SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Experience with SolidWorks PDM, Routing.
• Ability to plan, co-ordinate and execute tasks (new development, product improvement, basics of cost estimating, BOM management, value engineering, analysis, etc.)
• Prior experience/exposure to working in a global engineering environment involving interactions & travel to other locations, including multi-continent reporting and engineering collaboration.
• Knowledge and experience of “technical writing” is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of Skid inter pipe routing, understanding of pipe supports, Basic Structural members knowledge is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of design calculations is a Plus.
