The Sr. Director of Corporate Development will lead our efforts in sourcing, structuring, negotiating, and closing acquisitions and joint ventures. This leadership role will be pivotal in driving our growth strategy and enhancing our market presence.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
Foster business relationships with industry stakeholders and potential business partners.
Activates potential acquisition targets and joint venture opportunities identified by the company’s Executive Leadership Team by establishing relationships quickly & bringing the key decision makers to a discussion.
Lead the negotiation process for acquisitions and partnerships, ensuring favorable terms and alignment with company goals.
Program management and development of the investment case for Board approval and conduct of the due diligence process in collaboration with internal teams, including Finance, Legal, and Operations.
Ensure smooth hand-off on acquisition/joint venture deals through closure to Integration & Operations team; stay engaged for the first 3 months post- the definitive agreement to ensure issues are resolved as they arise and ensure we stay the course on value creation per our investment case.
25% Travel may be required.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
7+ years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, business development, or investment banking.
Proven track record of successfully sourcing, negotiating, and closing complex deals.
Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with experience in valuation and financial modeling.
Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development and collaboration.
Preferred:
Master's Degree (MS, MA, MBA) in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
