Role Overview
The CFO for Comcast Advertising’s Media business will serve as a key member of the Media leadership team, reporting directly to the CFO of Comcast Advertising. This role is responsible for driving financial strategy, ensuring operational excellence, and transforming the business to position it for growth.
Leadership Context & Collaboration
Comcast Advertising’s Media Solutions organization brings together advanced advertising capabilities across linear and digital platforms. The CFO will:
• Report to the CFO of Comcast Advertising and serve as a strategic advisor on all financial matters in the Media Solutions organization.
• Collaborate closely with the Media Sales and Media Operations and Data leadership teams to:
o Align financial planning with revenue strategies and market performance
o Ensure operational efficiency, cost optimization, and resource allocation across the media portfolio
o Drive decision-making and support Comcast Advertising’s long-term growth objectives
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management:
- Oversee all financial operations, including long range plan, budgeting, forecasting, capital planning and P&L management.
- Drive financial performance against targets and KPIs, with focus on profitability.
- Optimize joint venture performance and partner company-wide on cross-Advertising initiatives.
- Assess risks and implement mitigation strategies for financial decisions.
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
- Business Partnering:
- Collaborate cross-functionally as a strategic advisor to Media Sales and Media Operations and Data leadership teams.
- Drive operational excellence and deliver efficiencies through process improvements and technology adoption.
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with Comcast Advertising’s business objectives.
- Provide scenario modeling to evaluate alternatives and support decision-making.
- Regularly present financial results and outlook to senior Comcast leadership.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as CFO or senior finance executive in a complex, multi-brand media or advertising organization.
- Strong understanding of financial planning, analysis, and reporting in a dynamic business environment.
- Collaborative leader, with exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to lead through change, navigate ambiguity, and evaluate strategic alternatives in a fast-paced, evolving industry.
- Aspirational leader with proven success in attracting, developing and retaining talent.
