As a Software Engineer II, you’ll spend your days translating requirements into solutions, writing code, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing us with the insights necessary to think beyond the status quo. You’ll oversee small project teams consisting of other engineers who will look to you as a trusted advisor, a subject matter expert who provides guidance and the right tools to get the job done. You’ll be responsible for evaluating large amounts of data as part of the ongoing effort to optimize processes and delivery protocols. You’ll operate as a trusted advisor as it relates to efficiencies and best practices. As a member of our team, you’ll be able to say that you work for the world’s largest retailer and contribute to the development to best-in-class methodologies that impacted perception and drastically changed business as we know it.
What you'll do:
Extensive expertise and hands-on experience in object-oriented programming understanding of Java8 & Java related frameworks, their respective lifecycles combined with a solid knowledge of multithreading, networking, offline storage and performance tuning.
Expert level knowledge of Java8+, SpringBoot, MQTT, Design patterns, Messaging Architectures like Kafka and API development.
Experience in good app architecture using design patterns such as MVVM, High availability, fault tolerant systems.
Strong experience in RESTful Microservices.
Container technologies such as Docker on Kubernetes
Strong API design, development, and management.
Experienced in Devops culture and have built CICD process with automation.
Ability to build products with focus on testability, someone who loves test coverage.
A disciplined approach to development, code review, testing, documentation and code structure in a team environment.
A constant desire to improve, learn more and take things to the next level and a passion for adopting the latest features.
Experience in the Cloud architecture is preferred (especially Azure).
Superior analytical skills with a good problem-solving attitude.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00-$155,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
