What impact you’ll make: 

 

The One Field Service Global Operational Controller is a direct report to the Power Global Operational Controller. This role will be accountable for all the One Field Service Operational Controllership deliverables across 2 main areas – 1) Distributed Controllership 2) Accounting Operations. This Controllership organization is regional overseeing and managing across ~100 LEs/Branches. The Accounting COE is located in Manila Philippines and executes all the typical standard accounting COE areas e.g. Cash, Intercompany etc. Refer to next section for role specifics. 

 

What you’ll do  

 

  • Implement, and manage controllership strategies, policies, and procedures in alignment with business policy and local laws  

  • Lead and manage a global controllership team in daily activities and driving continuous improvement/transformation  

  • Establish and maintain financial controls globally to ensure compliance with local regulations and safeguard information 

  • Develop and implement improved systems and processes to streamline controllership activities and meet deliverables more effectively 

  • Manage global monthly close and reporting activities 

 

  • Manage account reconciliations in accordance with company policy 

  • Perform monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc financial reporting and analysis of the balance sheet  

  • Manage audits, statutory filings, records, analytical reports, balance sheet reviews, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with local laws and company policies and estimate financial outcomes 

  • Assist with the establishment and closing of branches and legal entities in accordance with local laws and company policies by partnering with internal and external resources on a global scale 

  • Ensure effective and efficient execution of general accounting activities  

  • Develop and monitor performance metrics on key Controllership & Accounting activities 

  • Develop and lead LEAN roadmap and transformation improvements   

  • Perform risk assessments and manage risk 

  • Resolve complex, global controllership challenges in a quick and effective manner  

  • Understand and maintain ERP accounting rules 

  • Manage and develop employees 

  • Provide oversight to APM/Viceroy  
     

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications) 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university/college in Accounting, Finance or relevant discipline

  • Major experience in finance or Controllership 

  • International Accounting & Transactional Tax experience 

  • Proven people leader experience with strong GE Vernova Way Leadership Behaviors 

  • Experience in working with Managed Service Providers/Accounting COEs 

  • Fluent English knowledge is essential

  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) preferred. 

  • Rest of Power business understanding/experience is an advantage 

  • Ability to lead, develop, and manage an effective global team 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

  • Excellent communication, management, organizational, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills 

  • Proficient in financial systems with SAP experience an advantage 

  • Organized and disciplined - ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish daily, weekly, monthly tasks and work independently as well as with a team
