JOB SUMMARY:
The Permit Engineer is responsible for the daily coordination of Building Permit, Electrical Permit, and other required permit application submittals. The Permit Engineer will coordinate permit related activities between Municipalities, Project Managers, Engineers, and Designers. The Permit Engineer will oversee the activities of the Permit Designers to ensure that permit drawings are created in a timely manner and meet local codes and customer specifications. The Permit Engineer is a technical authority with respect to applicable codes and regulations and will provide guidance to Systems, Principal, and Project Engineers with respect to code related issues. The Permit Engineer will be involved throughout the life cycle of projects from permit application submittal to closeout inspections and receipt of Certificate of Occupancy.

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, etc. Site visits to construction sites to accompany inspectors could involve climbing stairs or ladders while following MHS safety regulations and use of proper protective equipment.

Other Relevant Information: This position may require up to 20% travel to various sites.
