Deal Consulting offers strategic, tailored support across global, large and middle market Amex GBT client and prospect segments for our acquisition and retention efforts. We do this by overseeing the bid process, constructing our offer, and developing the critical messaging and positioning of our value proposition so it speaks to the value Amex GBT delivers to benefit a company’s travel and meetings program. Additionally, this team develops project plans for bids and manages them to achievements; leads the written components of the bid and supports the finalization of the client-facing materials.

The Deal Consulting function builds and brings to life ways to enhance the effectiveness of our sales process. We deliver robust, powerful messaging to help drive the business’ aggressive sales and retention goals.

What You'll Do:

  • Partner with Sales and Client Management to develop a strong message and positioning of our strategic offer to be messaged in written and visual material.

  • Develop client-specific bid process materials, including proposals, presentations and other sales-related materials

  • Lead all written components of the bid process and research responses to non-standard, non-strategic questions.

  • Synthesize and position vast amounts of product and prospect/client information to create compelling, customized sales materials, which differentiate the company and deliver solutions-focused messaging.

  • Use persuasive writing and creative design skills to optimize the Global Business Travel offering for each customer and their needs.

  • Manage multi-phased projects that require integrated answers to complex questions.

  • Develop and manage project planning process relative to each bid

  • Work cross-functionally with partners throughout the business to gather and validate information

  • Follow-up with Subject Matter Experts to populate RFP and lead all formatting of written materials according to branding and style guidelines

  • Accountability for informing and promoting self-service tools and content to Sales and CGM teams in local market and creating and updating RFP content to support sales efficiency


Qualifications:

  • Strong written/verbal communication skills and graphic design capabilities

  • Strong listening skills

  • Sophisticated analytical and conceptual thinking skills and business and strategic acumen.

  • Ability to work autonomously, while also being able to collaborate and influence individuals across the company, including those in senior positions

  • Experience in proposal management with demonstrated results. APMP certification is a plus. Marketing, Sales or Client Management experience and/or relevant experience in the corporate travel industry a plus.

  • Ability to drive results, manage multiple, multifaceted projects simultaneously and under tight deadlines. Strong attention to detail and quality control.

  • Takes the initiative, owns outcomes and is comfortable with taking the lead when required

  • Excellence in MS Office applications is a key requirement

This position will be virtual in Canada and US and reports to the Senior Manager, Deal Consulting, North America.
