Responsibilities:
Under the general direction of the Director of Education, the Sr. Education Program Specialist is responsible for the management, daily operations, and resource support for the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine education initiatives in Histopathology, including the Advanced Certificate Program in Histotechnology. This position aligns with the educational, regulatory and strategic goals of the department. Scope of responsibility includes licensed professional and unlicensed professional staff and students. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, designing curriculum, scheduling student learning experiences, student onboarding, didactic lectures, clinical training, assurance that university, national accreditation and state regulations are met. Manages daily operations in the Histotechnology Advanced Certificate Program and affiliated allied health professional training programs. Assists the Director of Education with development of strategic plans in education for the department.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
