Purpose:  Technical Expertise

Develop, maintain and monitor Data Science models and other analytical products to support the delivery of Group Corporate Plan.

KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Development, testing and documentation of Data Science models and other analytical products, including associated solutions such as model monitoring
• Creation of analytical processes to produce required outcomes.
• Developing and maintaining an understanding of prevailing and emerging modelling techniques and best practice.
• Understand and communicate outputs from existing models and analytical products, ensuring appropriate usage by stakeholders.
• Perform ad-hoc analysis to support decision making with key stakeholders.
• Preparing key reports and presenting to colleagues and senior leaders.

Skills

• Analyse and understand trends in data and develop these into solutions that add value.
• Highly numerate.
• Manipulate, understand and interpret data through code.
• Communication and time management skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical issues in a clear and concise manner.
• Ability to work autonomously, independently develop own skillset and manage own workloads.
• Ability to interpret business requirements and suggest Data Science solutions.

Knowledge

• Considerable knowledge and understanding of analytical software and approaches. 
• Understanding of project change methodologies.

Experience

• Experience of working in an analytical role.

Qualifications

• Hold a numerate degree or equivalent analytical experience.
