Job Purpose
The Site GPS Practitioner role exists to deploy and embed the GPS into a Site to deliver the Business Strategy and improve Business Performance (Quality, Safety, Service, Cost, and Innovation). As a key member of the Site team (line report to the Site GPS Lead) the GPS Site Practitioner is accountable for
GPS being used to develop the capability of all the Site personnel to implement day to day continuous improvement activities.
Helping ensure the day to day continuous improvement activities result in a continuous improvement in the Site Performance towards the goal of Zero Accidents, Zero Defects and Zero Waste.
To 'self assess' the Site vs. the GPS Maturity matrices and to support the site to close any gaps.
To coach / train the Site teams in GPS.
To support the Regional GPS teams in any Turnaround Deployment of GPS in their site
To support site in initiatives and projects related to Digitization, Automation and Analytics
Education, Experience & Skills
Bachelors/Master of Engineering / Pharmacy / Business
Minimum 3 years of experience of managing a functional or continuous improvement role with good learning agility
Understanding of the manufacturing process.
Worked in or as part of Supply chain
Has led multi stockholder, cross function projects
Has worked in multiple departments/functions
Key Responsibilities
Building broad and consistent GPS capability throughout the site, from a strategic and operational perspective (e.g. performance management systems, lean leadership capability. CI and problem-solving capability, waste elimination capability etc)
Facilitating the site to define and articulate its business goals into year by year improvements - acting as the delivery channel for CI
With the site, enabling the manufacturing site to be focused on IPT-C , having set the right strategy and direction
Holding and deploying performance management systems, in order to track, on or above target performance, ensuring appropriate governance and rigor in place and sustained
Leveraging Data Analytics, Automation and Digital technology to support strategy development and deployment
Linking with Digital and Automation teams to align objectives and plans
In partnership with site, developing, driving and evolving the establishment of Outstanding Leaders and Teams across the site
Delivering change projects within own team and supporting others to do the same for themselves
Leading and mobilizing (“push and pull”) across the site, at all levels, to ensure strategy deployment is prioritized and aligned to GPS and PSC IPT-C goals
Empowering, coaching and guiding individuals in order for them to fulfill their roles and deliver effective, sustainable change
