About the Role 

The Senior Account Executive (SAE) is a confident and experienced member of the account management team, ready to implement and lead execution. The SAE serves as a key point of contact for clients and internal teams, managing projects, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful campaign execution and client expectations and satisfaction. The SAE is also responsible for training and mentoring junior team members. 

What You’ll Do 

Client Management & Communication: 

  • Leads daily client communications, serving as a process and project steward. 
  • Develops and grows meaningful day-to-day client relationships. 
  • Plans, coordinates, and directs advertising campaigns for agency clients. 
  • Identifies and addresses changes in the client direction and environment that impacts projects the Agency is working on. See the interconnectedness of our work.  
  • Anticipates client needs (short-term/long-term) and proactively addresses issues. 
  • Serves as the primary team interface with day to day clients and client internal stakeholders. 
  • Leads client status calls and is accountable for client status reports and meeting recaps.  

Project Management & Execution: 

  • Manages day-to-day business by ensuring that work is done on time and on budget. 
  • Oversees MLR submissions with internal and external MLR team and is able to organize and summarize MLR feedback. 
  • Develops project briefs with minimal supervision. 
  • Reviews all client estimates of new and existing SOW projects. 
  • Identifies and addresses changes in the client marketing environment, submits proposals including competitive review and yearly tactical plan. 
  • Responsible for the strategic development and implementation of integrated marketing programs. 
  • Ensures that all professional activities are in line with the agreed-upon strategic direction. 
  • Reviews creative development to ensure it adheres to the highest quality standards and communicates against strategy and objective across all communication channels 

Financial Management: 

  • Manages day-to-day business by ensuring that work is done on time and on budget. 
  • Reviews all client estimates of new and existing SOW projects. 
  • Sound financial skills – has prepared budgets and statement / scope of work plans and understands where projects fit within the annual plan/SOW. 

Team Leadership & Mentorship: 

  • Trains a junior direct report. 
  • Distributes projects and reviews their progress continually to ensure professional growth is attained 

Strategic Thinking & Brand Knowledge: 

  • Understands the client's aspect of the business. 
  • Anticipates client need (short term / long term) and proactively addresses issues. 
  • Strategy liaison with client on brand and business issues working in partnership with the agency strategic planner 
  • Identifies and addresses changes in marketing environment, bring POV and ideas including competitive review and yearly tactical plan. 

What You’ll Need 

  • 2+ years of experience in an advertising agency environment. 
  • 3-4 years in Pharmaceutical Advertising and/or Marketing experience, HCP experience 
  • Analytical skills needed to identify problems and solutions. 
  • Excellent communication and written skills, both internal and external. 
  • All communication is succinct, and next steps are clear. 
  • Ability to manage time effectively and multi-task. 
  • High attention to detail and can set priorities with ease. 
  • Begin to master empathy internally and externally. 
  • Great attitude overall, no matter the situation. 
  • Experienced client services professional who can lead a cross functional team or inter-agency team 
  • Launch experience 
  • Excellent communicator with especially strong writing skills and experience presenting strategic and tactical plans to senior management 
  • Confident and organized individual who is able to apply their experience in order to provide insights and recommendations to clients 
  • Ability to work in team environment fostering ideas through integration and inclusion

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. Pay Range
$45,000$90,000 USD
