Job Description:

Section Leader

Up to £53,000 per annum

18-month FTC

Onsite - Arlington

 Your new role

As a Section Leader for our Arlington site, you will be managing a team of approximately 15 employees to ensure targets for quality, throughput cost and safety are consistently met.

• Manage all aspects of Health and Safety for area of responsibility

• Effective leadership across a range of manufacturing issues within own section to hit QCDM KPIs

• Formal and informal management of behaviors of team members

• Act as an effective team member amongst peer group

• Facilitate continuous improvement and problem-solving activity

• Interact effectively with support department personnel

• Maintain housekeeping level.

• Contribute to building a culture of sharing good practice across the plant.

• Monitor, control and minimise waste.

• Lead daily communication meetings.

• Deputise for Production / Outstation Manager from time to time.

About you

• Supervisory experience ideally in a production/manufacturing environment

• Experience in rail or a rail environment

• Project management skills

• Intermediate >Advanced IT skills – typically Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook

• Powered plant and tools – bogie drop, cranes, air systems / 110v tools.

• Depot Protection

• Working at Height, AC/DC Depot isolation
