Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to conduct technical discussion with customers and internal stake holders, execute service work with low to medium complexity as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines. Each day, you will plan for technical support and execute work on a first-time right approach with customers. You will also showcase your expertise by displaying a clear understanding of sense of urgency and care in your own area of responsibility.

The work model for the role is: Hybrid

This role is contributing to the Critical Power division in Taiwan. Main stakeholders are customers, subcontractors, and ABB TW and overseas technical, project and quality colleagues.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Working as a technical point of contact between customers and ABB internal stakeholders, playing a technical communication window role in a project-based business.
  • Performing technical discussion during pre-sales stages, liaise with customers for the technical matters in business development phases.
  • Working with the customer (while on-site) to identify opportunities to improve the customer’s operations and eliminate pain points.
  • Utilizes the local practices to notify the account team about the opportunities.
  • Performing field service tasks, identifying technical issues, and performing analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products.
  • Preparing material lists needed for service activity and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality for service activities.
  • Troubleshooting equipment/process failures, requesting proactive corrective actions, and making recommendations to avoid such issues in the future.
  • Playing ABB PM supervision role while subcontractors are doing the site works at customer sites.
  • Prepares all documents and customer reports to be signed by the customer representative.

Qualifications for the role

  • You are passionate about dealing with technical stakeholders and solving technical issues.
  • You have 5 years of experience in semiconductor and/or industrial fields in tool or equipment or related business.
  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering, EE is preferred.
  • You are at ease communicating in Chinese and English.
