Develop and execute mid-to-long-term sourcing strategies (1–3 years) align with cost targets (should-cost models, benchmarks), technology roadmap and demand forecasts.
Cost optimization by driving price negotiations, cost breakdown analysis and deliver annual savings target and cost avoidance during inflation cycles
Lead discussions on contract management for long-term agreements.
Supplier commercial management through volume allocation strategies, payment terms optimizations affecting cash flow
Supplier management and development by identifying key/critical suppliers, single-source risks
Drive supplier segmentation (Strategic/ Preferred/ Approved/ Exit Plan management.
Monitor supplier performance through cost competitiveness, delivery performance, quality (with SQA)
Lead Quarterly Business Reviews and supplier improvement programs together with SQA
Cross functional integration which is critical for success by having the alignment with planning on inventory and supply risk balance and allocation decisions during shortages
Ensures supplier qualification including dual sourcing activities by collaboration with Engineers and SQA
Leadership and governance by managing the stakeholders including Operations, Finance, Engineering and Executive Leadership. Translate strategy into clear actions for each team.
Governance and compliance by ensuring ethical sourcing, contract compliance and policy adherence
