Job Description Summary

The Internal Project Manager (IPM) is a leader on the Project Team responsible for managing delivery and cost of the Project through proactive risk & opportunity management, cross-functional mitigation action plans and mitigation coordination, and change management discipline. The IPM supports the Project by working closely with a core team of cost and schedule experts to achieve critical Project targets.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Serves as a Partner to the Project Manager, directly responsible for managing the Delivery and Cost of the Project.
  • Leads a core team on the Project consisting of the Planner, Scheduler, Cost Analyst, and Cost Out Manager to fulfill the Project Delivery and Cost targets.
  • Drives a weekly operating rhythm with the core team and other Project Team members (PM, CM, PFM, PEs, PPMs, LPMs, PQMs) to address risks and opportunities, ensuring there are clear strategies and actions to resolution.
  • Leverage lessons learned from other similar projects to identify and assess scope and risks on the Project bid/proposal and provide feedback to ITO.
  • Prepares for and attends all Readiness Release, Advance Release, and Full Release Meetings led by ITO.
  • Review the Key Handover Documents with the PM & CM and collaborate on strategizing and documenting the cost and schedule risks for the Project.
  • Assembles the project team at launch to introduce the cross-functional team members, set project launch schedule and review the key Project risks, opportunities, and assumptions for execution related to delivery and cost.
  • Supports the Cost & Schedule Core Team members in their respective coordination of the Commitment Meetings, whereby the baseline, targets, forecasts, and risks are discussed with the Project Team and supporting functions to launch the execution plan.
  • Mitigates cost and schedule risks with respective functional owners through current op rhythms and via ad-hoc meetings as needed; escalates issues to leadership when additional support is needed.
  • Collaborates with the PM & CM to track the latest risks and action plans.
  • Supports the PM’s Daily Management reviews for the Delivery & Cost KPIs.
  • Establishes a disciplined change management process for the Project to ensure the team captures and assesses all deviations and variances impacting cost & cycle.
  • For customer change orders, gathers inputs on cost and schedule impact from the relevant functions, assess options, and track implementation of change.
  • Works with the Project & cross-functional team to follow through on the Project's Cost Out initiatives to implementation, assessing progress during execution against cost savings targets and escalating to PM and leadership team to resolve critical issues.
  • Develops and executes a Project plan to track RevRec and Payment Milestones.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of cross-functional business experience with operational and/or project management experience.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $114,100.00 and $190,200.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

 

 

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
