Surgical Ophthalmology – Cataract / Surgical Vision
The Strategic Marketing & Events Supervisor is responsible for leading the marketing and events strategy within the surgical ophthalmology segment, with a strong focus on business impact, scientific relevance, and strategic market positioning.
This role acts as a subject-matter expert in cataract and surgical ophthalmology, bringing deep market knowledge, actionable insights, and disruptive solutions based on a thorough understanding of market dynamics, competitive landscape, and customer needs.
The position bridges strategy and execution, strengthening the company’s presence through high-impact scientific events, strong engagement with key stakeholders, and close collaboration with internal and external partners.
- Develop and lead the strategic marketing and events plan for the surgical ophthalmology portfolio.
- Plan and execute scientific congresses, symposia, workshops, and strategic events.
- Act as a market expert in cataract and surgical ophthalmology.
- Build and maintain relationships with BRASCRS, CBO, and other ophthalmology associations.
- Collaborate with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
- Translate market data into strategic recommendations.
- Develop marketing campaigns and materials with scientific and business focus.
- Manage marketing and events budgets.
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, Medical, Market Access, Regulatory, and Global teams.
- Promote company Leadership Imperatives and Credo.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Life Sciences, or related fields.
- Experience in strategic marketing and/or scientific event management.
- Strong knowledge of surgical ophthalmology and cataract market.
- Experience working with medical associations and KOLs.
- Driver's license - category B, required.
- Proficiency in English is a plus.
- Strong business acumen and strategic mindset.
- Analytical and insight-driven profile.
- Expertise in scientific events and medical engagement.
