The Role
This role will be part of the Server and Storage team which is responsible for effective and efficient delivery of all server and storage systems required to support the business and services across the enterprise.
This individual will have solid technical infrastructure experience, strong communication skills and strong documentation skills.
As part of the Server and Storage team, the Engineer will work with Technology colleagues, suppliers/vendors, and internal customers to ensure high quality solutions move into production and are managed effectively on an ongoing basis, delivering business value.
What will you be doing?
Should have strong experience in Windows Server Administration.
Installing, designing, implementing, deploying, upgrading, and administering Windows Server 2016/19/22/25
OS Upgrades
Experience of Linux installation, configuration and troubleshooting
Should have good experience of automation – PowerShell scripting
Experience with automation tools such as Ansible and terraform, using github as repository
Experience of implementing,managing and supporting Nutanix environments
Experience of supporting storage environments, ideally experience with Nutanix or other enterprise storage such as EMC, NetApp etc
Experience of managing backup and recovery tools, such as Veeam, Hycu and Netbackup
Experience of patch management and software deployment tools
Experience of managing hardware remotely using iLO
Monitoring tools such as Solarwinds, Datadog, splunk
Ability to document and diagram a multitude architecture and IT processes using Google Docs or similar cloud tools such as confluence, draw.io
Capable of handling the Severity 1 & 2 Incident and provide RCA information
Excellent troubleshooting skills on Windows, Nutanix and storage infrastructure and provide permanent fix
Knowledge in server hardening and policy compliance management
Strong working knowledge of ITIL Incident, Problem and Change Management.
The candidate must be a creative thinker who can investigate multiple paths in the hunt for root cause of an urgent issue, lead support of business-critical outages, clear the path to resolution, and own the steps for prevention
Who you are:
8-10 years' experience of Windows Server Administration, Troubleshooting
Must have hands-on experience supporting clients who have an AWS at least 2-3 years.
Must have experience of working in a Remote Infrastructure Management Company / Team at the level of L2/L3
Must have experience in working in an ITIL Ticket based Incident management environment.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical degree
Must possess good time management, problem solving skills and communication skills.
Nice to have certification in Nutanix and AWS
Microsoft Certifications MCSE, etc, and Windows Server Based Application Certifications required.
Must excel working in team environment
