Summary:

The Director, Learning Strategy is an important part of the Enterprise Learning & Development Team and has accountability for developing and executing a robust enterprise-wide program for orienting new servicers to the insurance brokerage industry and to HUB.  This role will report to the VP, Enterprise Learning, and partner closely with subject matter experts and senior leaders to design innovative, scalable training solutions that build foundational insurance knowledge for new-to-industry hires.

This role will lead the AMLP team and be responsible for forming and developing the team to deliver best-in-class programs.  This leader is a strong performance consultant who can develop solutions and programming to build learning experiences that increase knowledge, skills and abilities. This leader has experience orchestrating organizationally complex work and demonstrating business impact through data. This leader must also be hands-on with a willingness to analyze and build, and unafraid to roll up their sleeves to get projects done.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute an enterprise program for new to industry hires that drives consistency and accelerates the time to proficiency in the account manager role
  • Develop a robust training curriculum that builds the technical and industry knowledge and skills needed for our teams to provide exceptional customer service to our clients in every interaction
  • Continuously improve the design, development, implementation and evaluation of Commercial Lines learning and development programs, content, and tools
  • Continuously drive the training effectiveness and adjust programs based on the business needs and program evaluation
  • Provide strategic consulting support to HUB senior leaders, and learning/HR teams to build strong understanding of business needs, strategy and to build a strategic professional network and relationships with stakeholders/ SMEs across the organization
  • Build strong relationships with other members of the Talent Function, HR Advisors, and other key business stakeholders
  • Drive enterprise and/or regional learning and development projects, including associated communications and change management
  • Manage the AMLP Learning & Development team; ability to provide ongoing coaching and support to improve performance and impact of the team
  • Over time, assume the responsibility for all early career program strategy and teams (internship, apprenticeship)

Qualifications

  • University degree (Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree) in Training, Education, Organizational Development, Instructional Design, or a related field plus 7 years professional level experience. Experience working in a multi-national company preferred.
  • Detailed knowledge of training and learning practices and technologies (Canva, Articulate, Camtasia, Vyond, etc.)
  • Proven, effective facilitation skills to audiences of various degrees of sophistication and size with the ability to deliver content in a variety of modalities
  • Experience in managing, leading and coaching individuals and teams
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with people across different levels, organizations, and time zones
  • Experience influencing and consulting with executives and SMEs.  Experience in a large or decentralized organization is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to assess needs, administer programs, and manage complex projects
  • Proficiency in using Learning Management Systems/tools (Cornerstone On Demand experience is a plus)
  • Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Disclosure required under applicable law in California, Colorado, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, and Washington states: The expected salary range for this position is $150,000- $200,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
