The pay range is $54,800.00 - $98,600.00

A role in Third Party Risk Management means providing support and information that empowers Target’s business to make risk aware decisions while advancing important business objectives. You will play a key role in protecting Target’s best interests by ensuring Target understands the risks of specific third-party partnerships.

As a Third Party Risk Management Consultant, you will:

  • Complete third party background due diligence on new third parties, including Target+ sellers, vendors, and other business partners across Target enterprise. These assessments can include an overview of reputation, experience, and financial health risk and involve review of both open-source and proprietary tools to identify and determine appropriate risk rankings (high/medium/low) based on specific criteria.
  • Provide risk information to Target Relationship Managers (team member responsible for the ownership of the third party relationship) allowing Target to appropriately evaluate third party partnerships. This includes providing analysis of identified risk(s) and a clear outline of recommended risk mitigation actions. Engage with Target Relationship Managers on subsequent questions.
  • Perform regular bulk uploads and downloads of data to retrieve and consolidate risk information, ensuring the ability to prioritize review of third parties and timely complete third-party due diligence.
  • Follow established program processes and provide feedback and updates to existing documentation.
  • Provide input into team objectives and key results, including executing specific action items that tie to those goals.
  • Set objectives for your own work and provide support to projects and programs within the team.

About you:

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of related work experience in third party risk management, risk or compliance.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, presentation, and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively as a team and adapt to a changing environment.
  • Ability to apply discretion and sensitivity while working with confidential information.
  • Understanding of risk management practices and ability to identify and escalate process improvement opportunities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and experience using tools such as Archer, Ariba, Supplier Manager (SM), Vendor Management and Maintenance (VMM), Domo, Confluence, and other third-party risk tools.
  • Ability to collect and analyze data to identify trends and root cause issues.
  • Interest and curiosity in automation and data analytics.
  • History of driving for results, moving initiatives forward, and executing goals and objectives on specific timelines.
