The opportunity:

Join VML Budapest as our Resourcing (Traffic) Manager, a pivotal role dedicated to ensuring seamless talent allocation and project delivery across our dynamic agency. You will be instrumental in optimizing our human resources – covering both permanent staff and a diverse pool of contractors/freelancers – with a primary focus on our Tech Delivery Operations. This role is key to determining our capacity, recommending optimal personnel assignments, and supporting the strategic hiring processes for both project delivery and new business initiatives.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Ensure all contracted projects are adequately resourced across teams, working in close collaboration with Team Leads and Heads of Department
  • Proactively manage daily trafficking and problem-solve around project priorities, especially during last-minute urgent resource requests
  • Monitor and report on employee and freelancer/contractor utilization, workload, and overtime hours to ensure optimal allocation
  • Analyse weekly resource requests from Project Managers (via status meetings and Resource profiles) to accurately forecast short-term and long-term resourcing needs
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of current partners, vendors, and VML Network capabilities to strategically leverage external resources when needed
  • Identify freelance/contractor needs, track their utilization, and build business cases with Business & Delivery Leads for extensions where necessary
  • Analyse resource forecasts, determine gaps, and initiate the resourcing process in partnership with the Recruitment team or external vendor/contractor pools
  • Work closely with the People Team (Recruitment) and division Leads to define roles and support the hiring of appropriate permanent and contract talent
  • Support new business activities by making key personnel available to contribute to pitches and proposals
  • Act as the local Single Point of Contact to support daily Professional Services Automation operations and future system releases

What we want from you:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of proven experience in resource management, business operations, or traffic management, ideally within a digital agency, software development company, or a fast-paced professional services environment
  • Strong understanding of resource allocation and 'traffic' functions specifically within a tech agency or consultancy environment
  • Experienced in planning and managing multiple lead stakeholders with often conflicting workload priorities
  • Exacting attention to detail and a proven ability to solve complex resourcing issues creatively and efficiently
  • Strong analytical and administrative skills, with advanced/proficient knowledge of MS Excel and experience with reporting tools
  • Able to work autonomously, make informed decisions, and provide strategic recommendations to key decision-makers
  • Possess a strong work ethic and take pride in the quality and accuracy of their work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and persuasively
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude under pressure

What we can offer you:

  • Private health insurance package (for employees working for us for a year or more)
  • International and inhouse training possibilities
  • Education budget to suit your own development
  • International projects
  • Diverse teams (in 2023 our office has won the 'Most Diverse Company' special award in the Loveable Workplace competition)

And there's more:

  • Kid and dog friendly office
  • Annual team building days and many fun events
  • Award-winning and well-equipped office
