Job Description:

This position is responsible for billing, follow-up, and resolving issues that delay or prevent payment of the patient's account within Intermountain's policies and procedures.

Location: St Joe's Hospital - Denver, CO

Shift: Monday through Friday 0500-1330 including all holidays, with availability to help afternoon shifts if needed. 

Scope

As a Service Excellence Representative you need to know how to:

  • Provide excellent customer service, greeting, assisting, and directing visitors and patients as well as strong coordination with Volunteers.

  • Problem solving under stress.

  • Pushing patients in wheelchairs.

  • Genuine love for helping others.

  • Multitask computer and phone.



Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a customer service environment (preferably in a healthcare setting)
  • Proficiency with computer and problem solving skills

Preferred:

  • Prior healthcare experience
  • Bilingual proficiency (Spanish or other)
  • Familiarity with medical terminology

Interact with others by effectively communicating, both orally and in writing.- and -Operate computers and other office equipment requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.- and -See and read computer monitors and documents.- and -Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.- and -May require lifting and transporting objects and office supplies, bending, kneeling and reaching.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

$19.29 - $23.22
