The Legal Operations Analyst position is responsible for driving operational excellence within the Legal department by managing legal technology platforms, ensuring contract compliance, and supporting process optimization. The Legal Operations function serves as key operational partners to Legal, Branch Operations, Compliance, and IT teams by ensuring efficient contract management, maintaining data integrity, supporting legal technology solutions, and providing insights that improve legal service delivery and business outcomes.
What You'll Do
Legal Technology & Systems Management
Administer and optimize legal technology platforms, including contract lifecycle management.
Document end-to-end contract workflows (contract intake, review, approval, signature, audit, renewal reporting).
Identify bottlenecks, duplicate work, manual handoffs, and compliance risks from an Operational Support and Legal perspective.
Support system configuration, workflow updates, user provisioning, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
Serve as a liaison between Legal and IT to resolve system issues and enhance functionality. Act as the first point of contact for legal technology issues for the Operational Support and Legal teams. Gather error details, replicate issues, and escalate issues as appropriate. Communicate with the impacted users. Coordinate testing and deployment of new contract workflows and system functionality.
Assist with implementation and migrations of legal technology solutions.
Assist in collecting business requirements, including documenting workflow and system enhancement requests. Coordinate meetings, track action items, and follow up with stakeholders to ensure projects remain on schedule and key deliverables are completed on time.
Maintain user documentation, training materials, and provide end-user support to drive adoption and compliance.
Maintaining established documentation and training materials, and as needed create new materials.
Act as the first point of contact for legal technology issues for the Operational Support and Legal teams.
Monitor system performance and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and user experience.
Contract Review, Compliance & Lifecycle Management
Review contracts to ensure accuracy and completeness in accordance with legal standards and company policies.
Follow up with the Legal or Operational Support team if there is a discrepancy in the contract data.
Verify key contract terms, clauses, dates, and obligations against internal requirements.
Identify potential risks, inconsistencies, or missing provisions and escalate to reviewing attorneys/stakeholders as needed.
Monitor contract obligations and support audits, reporting, and risk assessments.
If escalation is required they would escalate to the Director, Business Operations and VP and Lead Counsel RH Contracts.
Maintain a centralized contract repository and ensure metadata accuracy and accessibility.
Operational Support / Reporting Analytics
Review contract requests for completeness and adherence to department standards.
Track contract milestones, renewals, expirations, and obligations.
Support compliance audits, regulatory reviews, and internal control requirements.
Ensure accuracy and integrity of contract data and documentation across legal repositories.
Provide support to Legal Operations Specialist, Legal and Business Operations teams.
What You'll Need
Bachelor's degree or relevant applicable work experience; preferably in Business Administration, Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, Information Systems, or a related field.
2–5 years of experience in legal operations, contract administration, legal technology, procurement operations, contract management, or related field.
Experience supporting legal workflows, contract lifecycle management processes, and technology-enabled business operations.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail.
Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders in a corporate environment. Ability to exercise sound judgment and work independently while escalating issues appropriately.
Paralegal certification, Legal Operations certification, or CLM platform certification preferred.
Strong understanding of contract lifecycle management processes and best practices.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented with strong project coordination capabilities.
Experience documenting business requirements, processes, and procedures.
Customer-service mindset with the ability to support both legal and business stakeholders.
Continuous improvement mindset and commitment to operational excellence.
Ability to demonstrate problem-solving skills and abilities.
Ability to be flexible and work in a fast-moving and changing environment.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Hands-on experience with legal tech platforms (e.g., Ironclad and DocuSign), Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Domo), Strong data management and reporting capabilities.
The typical annual salary range for this position is shown below and is negotiable depending upon experience and location.
