ABOUT YOU:


As an outstanding and enthusiastic Registered Midwife who will be responsible for the provision of women centred care promoting best clinical outcomes. The Registered Midwife will assess, plan, implement and evaluate midwifery care in collaboration with key stakeholders and the multi-disciplinary team.

ESSENTIAL:

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife.
  • Minimum two years’ relevant post registration qualifications/experience.
  • Demonstrated experience working in the postnatal midwifery setting.
  • Demonstrated cultural awareness and understanding.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a supportive team.
  • Demonstrated ability to advocate for and implement individualised patient-centred care.
  • Demonstrated professional manner when involved in emergency situations.
  • Advanced communication skills and willingness to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Flexibility of seven-day, rotating roster.

DESIRED:

  • Demonstrated experience in Antenatal, Birthing Suite or Special Care Nursery settings.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of quality improvement initiatives or willingness to learn and be involved.
  • Experience in Private Health Care.
  • IBCLC (Lactation) certificate, working toward or desire to complete.
  • Willingness to be involved in quality projects to continuously improve the care we deliver.
