Our Norman Manufacturing Plant is a state-of-the-art facility supporting the research, design, manufacturing, and testing of our rooftop products. The 950,000-square-foot facility includes almost 400,000 square-feet of incremental laboratory and manufacturing space and renovations to over 150,000 square-feet of office and meeting space.
What you will do
The Production Manager will be responsible for a substantial portion of the daily production function within a plant. This individual will incorporate best-in-class practices to increase productivity and drive improvement in all business metrics and will focus on development and management of production personnel, particularly next generation leadership.
How you will do it
Direct Production Supervisors in the plant and coordinate production work through familiarity with all manufacturing
processes. Maintain a continual awareness of safety, quality, efficiency, scrap and production schedules.
Motivate and direct the training of Production Supervisors. Train and develop individuals, instill in them a sense of responsibility, and evaluate them on their progress.
Work with leadership and CI/Mfg. Engineering to develop a roadmap for Continuous Improvement in the assigned area for processes and productivity.
Attain production goals through effective scheduling to meet customer demands.
Drive daily, weekly, and monthly performance metrics to ensure budgetary requirements are achieved.
Provide leadership to create a work environment that drives excellence in productivity, customer service and quality.
Ensure compliance with plant safety rules, policies and procedures and established housekeeping practices.
Understand and support plant KPIs and Shop Floor Management objectives.
Use continuous improvement skills such as Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean manufacturing, etc. to drive improvement.
Foster a work environment built on fair and consistent treatment of all employees.
Prepare and lead the execution of annual operating budgets and financial plans.
Ensure compliance with quality assurance and ISO-9000 policies, procedures and manuals.
What we look for
Required:
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of six (6) years of experience as a Production Supervisor in a large, high complexity, high volume INDUSTRIAL manufacturing environment or Associate degree and a minimum of eight (8) years of experience as a Production Supervisor in a large, high complexity, high volume INDUSTRIAL manufacturing environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a large, high complexity, high volume INDUSTRIAL manufacturing environment.
Proficiency using MS Office Suite.
Ability to work 1st Shift (6:00AM-4:00PM, Monday-Friday as well as weekend overtime as needed to support production). NOTE: Shift could change in the future based on business need.
Preferred:
Experience applying Lean manufacturing, 5S and Six Sigma.
