La Senza is seeking an ambitious, creative, and analytical Director of eCommerce to manage E-Commerce growth activities through an accelerated growth phase for the brand. This role requires a business leader with a can-do, test-and-learn, entrepreneurial and innovative mindset. The candidate will direct day-to-day operations on-site with responsibility and accountability for topline sales, operating metrics, KPI’s, site budget management. This candidate will support the La Senza eCommerce digital experience, identifying the most promising areas for growth, optimizing and testing, to ensure traffic directed onsite is being optimized efficiently for conversion. Leadership of site calendar and promo strategy, onsite merchandising strategy to maximize product optimization, new customer acquisition, site experience and drive engagement. This role leads a small team across site merchandising, and digital marketing functions; but also partners closely cross-functionally with Marketing, IT, Planning, Finance and Merchandising. 

Job Description

As an E-commerce Merchandising Specialist, you will play a crucial role in driving online sales by creating compelling product content and optimizing the shopping experience. You will be responsible for copywriting, product setup, creating monthly edits, and analyzing performance metrics to enhance conversion rates.

Responsibilities:

Product Content Creation:
    •    Write engaging product descriptions, titles, and features to highlight key selling points.
    •    Optimize product content for search engines (SEO) to improve visibility.
    •    Create and manage product collections and categorization.
    •    Coordinate timely product photography with third party vendor.
Product Management:
    •    Ensure accurate and up-to-date product information in the catalog.
    •    Coordinate with design and merchandising teams to gather product assets and information.
    •    Manage site merchandising, cross-selling, pricing and promotions. 
Performance Analysis:
    •    Analyze sales data, conversion rates, and customer behavior to identify optimization opportunities.
    •    Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to e-commerce merchandising.
Customer Experience:
    •    Drive personalization efforts to enhance the customer shopping experience.
    •    Conduct A/B testing to optimize product listings and merchandising strategies.
Collaboration:
    •    Work closely with cross-functional teams (marketing, design, merchandising) to achieve business goals.

Requirements:
    •    Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Merchandising, Marketing, or a related field.
    •    2-3 years of experience in e-commerce merchandising or content management.
    •    Strong copywriting and editing skills for consumer products.
    •    Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    •    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    •    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Shopify (preferred).
    •    Strong understanding of the retail environment and consumer behavior.
    •    Strategic, detail-oriented, analytical, and creative thinker.

Preferred Qualifications:
    •    Experience with e-commerce analytics tools.
    •    Knowledge of digital marketing channels (e.g., social media, email marketing).
