Summer Internship: Developer Tooling & Python Developer 

Job Location: Sweden - Danderyd

Are you a problem-solver who wants to spend your summer building tools that actually make a difference? We are looking for a driven engineering student to join our team and help develop Developer Utilities (dev-utils) within one of our major R&D Projects. At the R&D department in Danderyd we mainly develop Total Stations (see web-site)

The Role:

As a summer intern with us, you will be a key contributor to our development ecosystem. Your primary focus will be enhancing the workflow for our engineers by building and refining internal tools using Python.

You will work closely with various development teams to identify technical bottlenecks, automate repetitive tasks, and improve the overall developer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and Maintain Dev-Utils: Create Python-based scripts and tools that simplify daily tasks for our engineering teams.

• Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with developers to understand their pain points and translate them into functional tools.

• Integration: Ensure that new utilities integrate seamlessly with the existing Starfish project architecture.

About You

We are looking for students currently pursuing a Master of Science in Engineering (Civilingenjör) within Computer Science, Engineering Physics, Mechatronics, or a related field.

We expect you to have:

• Strong proficiency in Python and a passion for writing clean, efficient code.

• The ability to balance technical depth with strong collaborative skills.

• A keen interest in modern software development and Developer Experience (DevEx).
