What you will do
As the Manager of Downstream Marketing, you will spearhead the development and execution of effective marketing strategies for a Spine portfolio, with a focus on thoracolumbar fixation. Working closely with the marketing and sales teams, you’ll collaborate on developing the vision, goals, and tactics for key marketing initiatives, including the annual marketing plan and product launch plans.
This position is a hybrid work environment based in Leesburg, VA; you are required to be in the office 2-3 times per week. This role requires 30% travel time. A generous relocation package is offered for qualified applicants.
- Lead the team responsible for the product and portfolio strategy
- Guide others to deconstruct and extract the strategy from a well-written marketing plan
- Coach others on the market positioning and strengths/weaknesses of key competitors
- Share marketing intelligence and information with the team
- Establish pricing strategy, including contract pricing
- Coach others on how to utilize the product or portfolio structure to maximize brand equity
- Demonstrate financial acumen
- Develop an effective KPI strategy for the business
- Supervise others in their use of data collection, analysis, and reporting tools
- Provide clear, strategic and prioritized direction to the field sales organization through written/verbal communications, presentations at training meetings and informal interactions
- Coaches others on sales forecasting methods and tools
- Lead a team of professionals: develop employees, which includes hiring, communicating company policies, coaching and counseling, administering performance appraisals, and enforcing company policies through appropriate disciplinary measures
- Promote an environment that fosters personal growth and development
- Hold team accountable to deliver high-quality results with passion, energy, and drive to meet business priorities
- Collaborate and influence others on cross-functional teams, advancing partnerships to achieve business objectives
What you need
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 8+ years of work experience required
- 2+ years of people leadership experience is required
- 5+ years of medical device or marketing experience preferred
Travel Percentage: 30%
