Wiz is excited to announce an Associate Solutions Support Engineering (SSE) program geared towards recent graduates in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, Mathematics, or Information Systems. The program starts on December 2, 2024, with a 3-week intensive onboarding and training program that includes Product and Support technical enablement. This is not an internship; it is a full-time opportunity where you'll be immersed with a group of similarly minded individuals who will translate their technical knowledge into business value for Wiz customers.

 

SUMMARY  

As an Associate Solutions Support Engineer, you will be a part of a global team responsible for providing outstanding technical support experience. In this role, you will troubleshoot technical problems for customers with a mix of debugging, networking, system administration, updating documentation, and have the opportunity for creating solutions for customers while scaling our support offering using coding and scripting. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

  • Be responsible for technical customer support experience within the Wiz product and educate our customers on the use of the platform 
  • Own, troubleshoot and solve customer technical issues, using collaboration, troubleshooting best practices and transparency within and across teams  
  • Identify cases that require escalation (either technically or strategically)  
  • Train as a highly knowledgeable specialist in one or more Wiz product area(s) 
  • Create technical articles or knowledge base articles (e.g., edit or create news/ knowledge-based articles) that are internal or customer-facing for a better customer support experience 
  • Be a customer advocate for timely resolution of the problems reported, understand the environment/network and impact on business 

 

WHO YOU ARE 

  • Recent graduate in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, Mathematics, or Information Systems 
  • Fast learner with a natural curiosity and love for technology 
  • A critical thinker who defaults to a client-centric approach with effective written and verbal communication skills 
  • Programming experience with languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, Ruby, etc., and basic knowledge of Linux 
  • Hands-on experience with Linux command line, bash, and/or PowerShell 
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies like Azure, AWS, or GCP 
  • Able to work a rotating schedule, including weekend availability 
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills 
  • Active contributor to open-source projects (code, bug reports, etc.) and the Engineering Community (e.g., meetups) 

 

NICE TO HAVE  

  • Internship experience in a technical role at a tech company 
  • Experience with DevOps technologies  
  • Familiarity with REST API's or GraphQL  
  • Knowledge of basic web technologies (e.g., HTTP, HTML, DNS)  
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (e.g., TCP/IP, Routing, VPNs, VLANs, Peering, Load Balancing)  
  • Understanding of relational databases 
  • Experience with Kubernetes, system virtualization, on-prem and/or hybrid cloud computing, cloud identity and security systems, cloud monitoring and logging, as well as local and cloud storage 
  • Experience with Docker, building container images, and/or other container orchestration tools 
  • Familiarity with security frameworks or tools
