Job Summary:
Key point of coordination between Winfield United, Strategic Retail Alliance(SRA) Owners, and Basic Manufacturers to drive performance, communication, and execution, resulting in achieving SRA growth targets at the individual and regional level. Assists in program development opportunities, manufacturer negotiations, and coordination of local Winfield United and Manufacturer sales teams.
Responsibilities:
30% Account Management
Key point of contact for SRA retailers consisting of aligned retailers across the cooperative system
Maintaining consistent communication and support of SRA members.
Keeping local Winfield United teams up to date on all SRA related functions, actions, or activities.
30% SRA Performance and Execution
Drive agronomic discussions, assist in retailer business support, and provide regional market guidance on CP and seed products
Supports SRA pricing and assist in pricing questions as they arise
Support required data processes and redemption of individual SRA performance
Work with the Winfield United Sales team to develop and support SRA account plans for identified accounts
20% Vendor Management
Lead and coordinate the execution of local/ regional supplier reps along with retailer reps to execute programs throughout the year
Responsible for updating Manufacturer teams on all SRA related functions, actions, or activities
20% Internal Collaboration/Coordination
Pivotal role bridging WinField United internal operations with member retail cooperatives and suppliers, including responsibility for aligning both internal & external stakeholders as it relates SRA
Facilitate proactive communications as well as pod or small group discussions with retail reps and/or supplier reps on a regular basis
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or Business-related field plus 7-10 years of industry or direct sales experience; or, an equivalent of 10-15 years of successful work experience in industry or direct sales experience.
Proven experience negotiating large revenue ($100M+) Ag product sales agreements/contracts
Possesses deep understanding of agriculture, Land O’Lakes and how the cooperative system operates, in addition to our internal systems, applications and resources
Has demonstrated ability to build trust quickly with executives at the owner level, as well as with the WinField United leadership team
Proactive communicator with exceptional written, verbal, and formal presentation skills
Trustworthy with a strong level of personal commitment
Ability to make sound decisions and complete tasks in a fast-paced work environment
Ability to work independently and manage productivity
Experience demonstrating agility and leading/adapting quickly to change
Technical agriculture product / crop expertise and ability to develop and educate others on products, services, and programs
Solid experience using Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); virtual collaboration tools (Teams, Zoom); and CRM software (Salesforce)
