Job Description Summary:

Fitting, adjusting, and assembling rehab and other high tech equipment. Provides instructions to patients and referral sources, is knowledgeable of third party reimbursements, and serves in a marketing role to promote the company's rehab services. Employee is subject to call back and overtime as required by the hospital.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible to set-up appointments for fittings, delivery, etc. in conjunction with customer service staff.
  • Responsible to do fittings and complete all appropriate paperwork.
  • Responsible to obtain all required authorizations, verifications, and waivers for proper payment, through appropriate staff per policy and procedure.
  • Responsible to place order for wheelchair and accessories through materials department. Responsible to deliver equipment or make arrangements for delivery and verify fit, equipment function and performance, with complete and accurate documentation.
  • Responsible for knowledge of third party reimbursement issues and documentation requirements. Responsible for safe operation and routine care of company vehicle.
  • Assist with inventory control.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of our Marketing Plan with special emphasis on rehab services.
  • Attends required meetings and participates on committees as required.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required or directed.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

  • Required a high level of educational development and/or a professional level of knowledge equivalent of that which would normally be acquired by completing a bachelors’ degree program in a college or years of experience in this field.

LICENSURE, REGISTRATION, CERTIFICATION:

  • Must be a certified ATS (Assistive Technology Supplier) or currently pursuing this certification.

EXPERIENCE:

  • N/A

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Skills and proficiency in the principles, concepts and techniques of sales of rehab equipment.
  • Ability to work well with physicians, physician staff, home health agencies and the public in general.
  • Knowledge of Medicare,TennCare and other payor source billing and reimbursement for home medical rehab equipment.
