About the team 

At Roku, we like to say that there are no bystanders, and that is as true in the advertising team as it is in any other facet of the company. We work together to ensure our clients understand this new world of advertising, that they are making the best possible decisions to support their own goals, and drive advertiser interest and engagement across the board. The Advertising Sales team is responsible for driving ad revenue with Advertisers and ultimately enabling our clients to reach their business objectives.


About the Role

As Senior Business Development you will lead our business development relationships and strategy with our largest DSP/demand partners.  This individual contributor will be responsible for the general partnership on behalf of Roku’s advertising business.  You will develop and execute on partner initiatives with the goals of driving revenue growth and scaling the Roku exchange with our programmatic partners. 

For New York Only - The estimated annual salary for this position is between $141,000 - $240,000 annually.

Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead relationships, partner management and growth with our largest DSP partners 
  • Own partner revenue number and manage both day to day and executive relationships across business development, partnerships, client services and product teams  
  • Develop, prioritize and execute on marketplace and partner growth initiatives 
  • Co-develop and execute quarterly partner actions plans that are aligned for mutually beneficial partnerships 
  • Work cross functionally with product and operations team to deliver/scale against partner plans 
  • Negotiate agreements/amendments in collaboration with Roku’s legal, sales and product teams 
  • Manage assigned business development initiatives from end-to-end 
  • Clearly communicate the value proposition of Roku’s offerings to partner 


We are excited if you have 

  • 10 + years programmatic experience at a SSP, DSP or Publisher  
  • 4 + years CTV experience in business development, partnerships, operations or product  
  • 4 + year experience in ad technology contract negotiations  
  • Extensive knowledge of programmatic ecosystem and technologies  
  • Possess an "ownership" mentality 
  • Great at balancing strategic thinking and tangible execution 
  • Comfortable in a room with senior leadership and executives 
  • Strong presentation and communication skills 
  • Strong project management skills  
  • Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment 
  • Experience executing technical product plans. 
  • Analytical, proactive mindset, solutions orientated
