The purpose of this position is the operational management of a local or regional IT Systems in line with the IT Policy and Strategy as well as the operational link with GITS and NCC for activities out of scope of the global organizations. This includes providing support for local business applications, providing support for Nutreco applications, management of local business applications, management of local IT-related projects and coordination and execution of IT tasks out of the Unisys scope.
Working together with Opco/BU stakeholders, first point of contact for IT matters locally.
Maintaining and supporting all local business applications and being the project lead for IT related projects.
Supporting the execution of the Business IT strategy and 8Q Roadmap under the leadership of the Business IT Manager.
Interacts frequently and collaborate with colleagues in the business, GITS, NCC and Corporate IT and with all IT-suppliers.
Might act as local owner of global solutions (for example LUO/Local Unite Owner)
The Business IT Specialist reports hierarchically to the Business IT Manager or to OpCo/BU management (for example the OpCo/BU Controller).

Job Description:

Site IT Accountabilities: 

  • Local IT Infrastructure tasks not in scope GITS (f.e. local asset management, phones, local contact for printer, switch, router maintenance/replacement on site, aid in remote user issues, document problem resolutions, assist GITS/NCC in software deployment, coordinate purchasing/receiving of new computer hardware and software as well as creating the Capex requests). 

  • Support in onboarding and off boarding of new employees. 

  • Assist in any required network diagnostic and upgrade(s) for the site(s). 

  • Ensures the data backup schedule is respected. 

  • Deployment of the Nutreco IT Policy. 

  • Manage Topex procedures and key controls locally. 

  • Deploy Risk Management according policy. 

 

Application Accountabilities: 

  • Provide application support and execute application maintenance for the local business applications, including but not limited to training, training materials, documentation of operating procedures and user manuals. Business applications include both common applications such as ERP and BU specific applications such as production software, labelling, LIMS, or other applications or systems. 

  • Create, co-ordinate and execute application testing towards user acceptance and in line with corporate requirements. 

  • Complete systems modifications, systems tests/audits on new and modified applications and assess system performance to ensure quality assurance as well as post implementation reviews. 

  • Collaborate and operationally manage external suppliers for support and maintenance of local business applications. 

 

Program & project Management: 

  • Initiate new innovations and project proposals based on local requirements  

  • Manage local IT-related projects according to Nutreco standards and processes 

  • Responsible for local IT program 

 

Planning & Budget Control 

  • Responsible for IT budget 

  • Creates 8Q roadmap together with Business IT Manager 

 

IT Requirements 

  • Defines support requirements 

  • Transfers support requirements with Business IT Manager to Regional Service Manager or local suppliers 

 

Environment/IT Systems: 

  • Actively participates in the GITS / Unisys / Business IT triangle meetings. Travelling to the plants and other locations (if applicable) for any issues. 

  • Multi-task and manage multiple support calls meeting specific response times and deadlines. 

  • Participates in the development and execution of system implementation plans and solutions of the department. 

  • Work with technology teams and business unit as an in-house consultant and be prepared to lead or participate in broader initiatives spanning all areas of Information System 

  • Adequate reporting and updating Business IT Manager. 

  • Interaction with all levels of the business community as well as all levels of the IT organization.
