This role can be performed remotely anywhere within the United States.

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Semantics & Trust team, you will report to the Engineering Manager, and help create pathways to enable our customers to effortlessly understand, configure, and govern their behavioral data.

In a typical day, you might:

  • Utilize machine learning or generative AI to enhance or simplify customer workflows.

  • Build and maintain services and features that structure and semantically label behavioral data.

  • Build data governance systems and workflows to ensure semantic configurations remain healthy over time.

  • Be a key member of a highly talented product team responsible for building essential platform capabilities.

  • Offer support for customers and internal stakeholders while maintaining production services.

Here's what we're looking for:

  • Proficient in structuring data and APIs effectively to enable capabilities across multiple services.

  • Experience driving consensus on large, complex architectural changes through clear communication and technical writing.

  • Experience writing production code in one or more of the following back end languages: Go, Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript (and possess an ability to pick up new ones)

  • Experience building web systems at scale using React, Typescript, or similar front end technologies.

  • Experience supporting highly available and reliable cloud-based microservices, and familiarity with technologies similar to Kubernetes, gRPC, Solr (document search databases), BigQuery/Redshift, BigTable/Cassandra/DynamoDB.

The impact you will have in 6 months:

  • Develop an understanding of your teams core service areas and deliver on intra-team projects with minimal oversight.

  • Contribute to the strategic planning of the product’s roadmap by providing technical insights, identifying upcoming trends or technologies that could impact the product, and proposing innovative solutions to meet future challenges.

The impact you will have in 12 months:

  • Successfully lead the development and launch of a key project, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver on time and within budget. This may involve innovating a solution to a long-standing problem or creating a new feature that significantly improves user experience.

  • Is a go-to expert in at least one area of the system. Assumes an ownership mindset for a major feature area of our product, seeking to understand directly from our customers how they derive value from the product.
