Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Cellular Router Assembly, Test, and Packout Operator. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, testing, and packaging cellular routers to meet quality standards and customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform assembly, testing, and packaging of cellular routers according to established procedures and standards.
  • Operate pneumatic assembly and test fixtures efficiently and safely.
  • Operate machines such as Thermal Gap Filler and CIPG as needed.
  • Interpret engineering assembly drawings, work instructions, and test manuals to ensure accurate assembly and testing procedures.
  • Conduct basic troubleshooting to identify and resolve assembly or testing issues promptly.
  • Set up and validate assembly and test fixtures to ensure proper functionality and accuracy.
  • Utilize 5S principles to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
  • Perform quality inspections during assembly, testing, and packaging processes.
  • Report any quality issues or deviations from standards to the appropriate personnel.
  • Provide suggestions and recommendations on how to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Identify defects during assembly or testing processes and communicate them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Provide suggestions and recommendations on how to decrease or eliminate defects and improve processes.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and quality targets.
  • Adapt to an 8-hour workday schedule, remaining flexible to accommodate changing production demands while consistently meeting productivity and quality standards.
  • Adhere to Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) precautions and guidelines to prevent damage to sensitive electronic components during assembly, testing, and packaging processes.
  • Understand and apply the concept of FIFO (First In, First Out) in material handling and inventory management to ensure product quality and minimize waste.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and optimize productivity.
  • May need to perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or training preferred.
  • Previous experience in assembly, testing, or manufacturing operations is preferred, with 1-3 years of production experience.
  • Proficiency in operating pneumatic assembly and test fixtures.
  • Strong understanding of engineering assembly drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to perform basic troubleshooting.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with 5S principles and practices is a plus.
  • Ability to work 8-hour workdays and adapt to changing production demands while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
  • Ideally, have experience with SAP and Agile software systems.
  • Understanding of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) precautions and guidelines, with the ability to implement them effectively to safeguard sensitive electronic components.

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position is CAD $38,500 - $60,500 . There are several factors taken into consideration in determining base salary, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, skills, education and experience, as well as job location and the value of other elements of an employee's total compensation package.
