Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Web Developer to design, develop, test, implement, and support web and API-based software solutions for CAI clients. This position will be a full-time contract and hybrid in Chicago, IL.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with a team of application specialists to support enterprise client applications
  • Develop and unit test REST web services and web-based solutions using HTTPS technologies
  • Utilize tools such as SOAP UI and Postman for API development, testing, and validation
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions that align with established development standards
  • Create and maintain code documentation and technical design documentation
  • Develop both backend and frontend components for web-based applications
  • Resolve software defects in a timely and thorough manner
  • Participate in application and network performance tuning activities
  • Assess, prioritize, and triage issues based on business impact and urgency
  • Escalate issues to management when appropriate
  • Manage multiple priorities simultaneously while ensuring project timelines and deliverables are met
  • Participate in cross-training initiatives and knowledge-sharing activities across teams
  • Quickly learn new applications, technologies, and systems introduced into client environments
  • Promote teamwork, collaboration, and effective communication among CAI and client team members
  • Deliver high-quality, defect-free solutions that align with industry standards and application best practices
  • Analyze and assess vendor-released application upgrades and enhancements

What You'll Need

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Engineering, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience as a Programmer Analyst, Software Developer, IT Consultant, or similar role
  • Strong experience with Java
  • Strong experience with Angular 13

Physical Demands

$100 - $115 per hour

The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
