This Business Manager role will support the Banking, International and Client Technology organization. The position requires a candidate with general management skills, leadership abilities and administrative experience, who can manage and lead a variety of activities geared at helping to keep a global technology organization with a $350MM+ IT spend in financial, staffing and compliance control. The Business manager will liaise with the project manager community to cover all facets of the Book of Work for Green and Blue $ management, Budget Planning, Analysis and Reporting, Time Booking Governance, Cap Reviews, and Staff Planning.
Responsibilities:
Advance organization/people strategy goals including communications strategy, talent strategy, and employee engagement initiatives
Drive productivity/ cost savings initiatives in partnership with the senior management team
Participate in People Engagement Working Group and promote Voice of the Employee (VOE) communications
Identify and develop business content for deployment, to enhance brand awareness with stakeholders and clients
Participate in leadership meetings to assess scope of communications needs, educate leadership on strategy, and make recommendations for achieving desired impact
Complete financial deliverables including monthly forecasts, the annual investment process, client reporting and ad hoc requests
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Financials & Headcount Management
Partners with Technology managers on budget planning and staffing planning.
Act as a trusted advisor to Technology managers to all operational & administration engagements.
Manages and keep tracks of financial changes to the forecast.
Identifies opportunities and risks.
Manages the Citi’s PTS-W (Portfolio Tracking System-Workspace), which is a project management tracking & reporting tool used to track project financials and client allocations, provides status of program initiative, project lifecycles, business critical milestones (BCM), and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Manages the resources and Green $ spend thru Resources@citi. Business managers will use this tool to provide projections of Direct Staff and Contractor headcount and financial spends.
Reviews project names and descriptions to meet capitalization eligibility.
Ensure monthly accruals are accurately posted and supporting information is provided for Finance & Controller teams.
Be able to quickly understand and analyze financial reports to determine status, risks, and opportunities
Qualifications:
6-10 years of experience in a financial services or related role
Critical and analytical thinker.
Works independently with little to no supervision.
Operates with Transparency
Ability to prioritize quickly and manage to deadlines with a sense of urgency.
Strong communication skills, as the role requires coordination across multiple teams.
Flexibility in consistently changing environment.
Takes initiative to offer solutions and solve problems.
A Team Player
Attention to Details.
Familiarity with Citi systems e.g. project management tracking system (PTS-W), financial & headcount reporting system (Renault) is a bonus
Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills including pivot tables, advanced formulas, and conditional formatting.

Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:
$142,320.00 - $213,480.00
