We are currently seeking a seasoned and experienced Senior Venture Analyst with 5-7 years of relevant experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in conducting research on technology advancements shifting the wealth management landscape, assisting due diligence efforts, evaluating investment opportunities, and providing strategic insights to drive successful investment decisions.
Actively participate in meeting and screening startups to assess their business models, market fit, and growth potential.
Partner with investment team to conduct comprehensive due diligence processes for potential investment opportunities, including in-depth market research, financial analysis, and competitive landscape assessment.
Analyze financial statements, business plans, and projections to evaluate the financial health and growth potential of target companies.
Prepare detailed investment memos, reports, and presentations for senior management and investment committee review.
Collaborate closely with the investment team to assess and structure investment deals, negotiate terms, and support portfolio companies post-investment.
Collaborate with the investment team to assess investment opportunities and make informed investment decisions.
Monitor and track the performance of portfolio companies and provide regular updates to the investment team.
Manage fintech deal flow pipeline and knowledge sharing across the investment team.
Support partnerships and events as needed.
Cultivate and nurture positive and robust relationships with business sponsors and the venture community.
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field
5-7 years experience in financial services including venture capital, private equity, investment banking, asset management or related fields
Proven track record of successfully evaluating and executing venture investments
Demonstration of high integrity, leadership and relationship/trust building skills
Strong analytical skills, financial acumen, and attention to detail
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently, lead projects, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
MBA or CFA designation preferred
Ability to work on-site at San Mateo, CA corporate headquarters 4 days per week to actively support the FinTech Incubator

Along with base compensation, other compensation is offered such as a discretionary bonus, 401k plan, health insurance, and other perks. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Franklin Templeton, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation. We expect the salary for this position to range between $100,000.00 - $120,000.00.
