Job Description:
Service Technician
Mobile and In-House Servicing: Perform mobile and in-house servicing for the full range of 3M Personal Safety Division equipment.
Travel Requirements: Travel interstate and within Country NSW to service and repair equipment, also NZ travel requirements
Customer Orders: Quote and process customer service and repair orders.
Equipment Repair and Servicing: Repair and service various 3M|Scott equipment, including SCBA, Airline & Escape Equipment, Compressed Air Cylinders, PAPR Equipment, and Passive RPE.
Thermal Imaging Repairs: Manage repairs for CFA Thermal imaging equipment.
Inspection and Pre-Delivery: Inspect and pre-deliver finished goods such as SCBA, Thermal Imaging, Compressed Air Cylinders, and Airline Equipment.
Stock Management: Monitor and maintain spare part stock levels at the Smithfield warehouse with the Service Coordinator's assistance.
Customer Interaction: Engage in customer-facing activities at the Smithfield facility and manage non-accredited service customer details.
Calibration and Record Keeping: Ensure all equipment requiring calibration is calibrated on time and maintain records of 3M Service Equipment.
Collaboration and Revenue Identification: Work with regional sales managers and the broader PSD sales team to identify additional revenue opportunities and future accredited service training.
Qualification
Higher School Certificate or equivalent
Trade Qualification
No Specific Tertiary Qualifications required (Trade diploma preferred)
Strong knowledge of servicing SCBA equipment
High degree of computer literacy including SAP CRM, Microsoft Word, Excel analysis & PowerPoint required
Communication and Presentation: Strong verbal communication, listening, and excellent presentation skills.
Interpersonal Skills: Confident manner with both internal teams and external customers, and ability to work well within a team environment and across functional teams.
Technical Proficiency: High level of functional and technical skills, and ability to understand and translate technical literature.
Problem Solving and Innovation: Strong problem-solving ability and resourceful innovation to meet customer requirements.
Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail, organizational, and planning abilities.
