Position Summary
The Product Marketing member is a crucial role responsible for driving the go-to-market strategy and execution for Samsung's Galaxy mobile devices. You will be the bridge between product planning, sales, retail and marketing communications, ensuring our products resonate with target audiences and achieve market success. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, analytical skills, as well as project management and execution.
Role and Responsibilities
* Market Analysis & Insights:
- Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats.
- Analyze consumer behavior and preferences to inform product positioning and messaging.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports on market performance.
* Product Positioning & Messaging:
- Develop compelling product Unique Selling Points, translate them into product value propositions and messaging that differentiates Samsung Galaxy devices in the market yet resonate with target audiences.
- Analysis and propose the right price & promotion positions for the product.
- Ensure consistent product value messages across all marketing channels by collaborating and reviewing with Communications team.
* Go-to-Market Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market plans for new product launches.
- Present GTM Proposal to Top Management, key internal stakeholders and critical parties at Regional HQ and HQ team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, SCM, Retail, Marketing communications, PR, etc.) to ensure successful product launches.
- Manage product marketing promotional budgets.
* Product Lifecycle Management:
- Monitor product performance & PnL throughout its lifecycle.
- Weekly, monthly and quarterly monitoring for demand planning, forecasting and inventory management with internal SCM team, HQ and Sales team.
- Develop strategies for product phase-out and end-of-life management.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor degree of Business Administration/ Marketing or related field
- 3-5 years working experience in Product Marketing, Product Management or Trade Marketing
- Good analytical skill, strategic thinking & communication skill
- Proficient at working with Excel and PowerPoint
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful go-to-market strategies.
- Good ability to work with numbers, under high pressure and effectively self-manage in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
- Good at working on details
- Interest in technology and mobile business is a plus
