What you will do:
- An apprenticeship with us will see you building new skills, while applying your knowledge to real-world live projects.
- Fire and Security Systems Engineers, install, commission, and maintain electronic systems in and outside simple and buildings to protect individuals, homes and properties from risk and danger.
- Systems include fire, security, and emergency systems to detect intrusion, provide surveillance, monitor, and control access to buildings, properties, and sites or to detect fire and emergencies.
- The apprenticeship will combine on-the-job work experience, with time at college to achieve a level 3 apprenticeship in Fire & Security. You will attend college on a block release basis while having the ongoing support of our training team. Skills you will gain:
- This apprenticeship will provide a foundation from which to progress on several career paths within the Company as a Fire & Security Systems Installation Engineer.
- During this apprenticeship you will learn the skills required for installing, maintaining, and repairing state-of-the-art fire and security systems.
- Skills include interconnection of equipment, programming, verifying performance/fault finding and testing and maintaining equipment.
- You will be trained in the installation and testing techniques for electrical and electronic components, equipment and control systems for fire and security systems.
- Engineers will carry out planned jobs to install new systems, modify and maintain existing systems as well as respond to call-outs to repair faulty systems where they will utilize their problem-solving skills.

Requirements for the role:
- The minimum educational requirements are grade D in five subjects in the Junior Certificate Examination or an approved equivalent or the successful completion of an approved Pre-Apprenticeship course or a grade 5 and above in GCSE English and Maths.
- A full driver's licence by the time of starting the role is also a requirement for this position.
- Willingness to travel as this is a field-based position, primarily in Belfast & surrounding areas.
