Job Description:

Location: On-site in Elmhurst, IL

Duration: May 18, 2026 – August 7, 2026 (12 weeks, flexible depending on school schedule)

Compensation:
$25/hour USD

 

Overview

Join the Corporate Finance team at The Boyd Group as a Tax Intern, supporting tax and financial operations at our Elmhurst office. This internship offers hands-on experience in tax support, financial reporting, and corporate accounting initiatives.

You’ll be based full-time at our Elmhurst location, working alongside experienced finance professionals on a variety of meaningful projects. From supporting tax-related processes to financial reconciliations, you’ll gain exposure to the core functions that support the financial operations of a large, publicly traded company.

This is an excellent opportunity for accounting or finance students who want practical experience and real responsibility in a corporate setting.

What You’ll Do

  • Gain exposure to multiple areas of finance with a focus on tax and reporting

  • Assist with tax-related reporting and documentation

  • Support financial data analysis and organization of reports

  • Assist with reconciliations and verify data accuracy

  • Contribute to accounting and financial reporting projects

  • Collaborate with the finance team to meet key internal deadlines

What We’re Looking For

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Accounting or Finance

  • Proficient in Excel and comfortable working with financial data

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial statements

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn

  • Professional, self-driven, and accountable

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous office or administrative experience is a plus

  • Business students (especially those from the Asper School of Business, University of Manitoba) are encouraged to apply

  • Interest in corporate audit, reporting, or operational finance
