In this role you will work as a member of the Digital Product team.  You will ensure that Western Union has best-in-class product capabilities, which will enable our customers to have the best possible experience.  You will own and set the strategy for your product line and be accountable for execution upon that strategy. 
 
Role Responsibilities 

  • We’ll be looking for you to undertake product lifecycle management from ideation to launch and beyond.
  • As part of your role, you shall undertake the following responsibilities. Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to take informed product decision.
  • Define and prioritise product features, ensuring a seamless and user-centric experience along with supporting business case and mapping of KPIs for measuring performance and defining success.
  • Submit requirements via detailed stories as per the agile methodology, undertake RDW and grooming sessions with engineering and other cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure the highest quality standards for products through quality testing standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across cross-functional teams and ensure clear communication of product goals, timelines, and milestones.
  • Participate and assist in ensuring healthy product backlog and develop detailed product roadmaps, considering resource allocation, timelines, and dependencies.
  • Ensure monitoring of key KPIs on a continuous basis. Undertake customer journey and engagement analysis at macro and micro levels to identify opportunities and problem areas with detailed analytical approach. Plan path to green for the opportunities and problem areas identified. 
  • Ensure customer focus by gathering and analysing customer journeys, feature performance, user testing, data-driven decision-making, reviewing customer feedback and incorporating insights into product improvements via optimizations.
  • Undertake market research along with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities and threats in the industry.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to maintain a competitive edge.

Role Requirements 

  • You’ll have a minimum of 6 to 8 years of relevant work experience, with total 4 to 6 years of experience in digital product development and analytics.
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in business, engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.  
  • You’ll have a strong interest in digital product, commercial aspects, analytics and competitive trends along with previous experience in digital product management with e-commerce or financial services or fintech industry
  • Get things done attitude; with self-motivated, with the ability to “roll-up sleeves” and prioritize critical deadlines.  
  • Attention to detail and a penchant for creating great customer experiences.  
  • Ability to break down complex experiences into simple documents, stories, and flows.  Experience in developing user flows and collaboration Diagrams.  
  • Experience with customer research and usability testing methodologies.  
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders/teams in different countries with different cultural backgrounds.  
  • Hands on experience in product development, optimization and new product initiatives process and product life-cycle management.
  • Your expertise based on experience along with technical and business acumen should ensure superior customer experience and innovation along with supported business case
  • Previous experience of lean and agile working methodologies. 
  • Team player with ability to prioritize workload in line with tight deadlines and under pressure.
