GBS PMO - Portfolio Analyst

Job Description

Join the team behind iconic brands like Huggies®, Kleenex®, Cottonelle®, Scott®, Kotex®, Poise®, Depend®, and Kimberly-Clark Professional®. At Kimberly-Clark, it’s all here for you—innovation, growth, and the chance to make a real impact.

You’re not the person who will settle for just any role. Neither are we. Because we’re out to create Better Care for a Better World, and that takes a certain kind of person and teams who care about making a difference. Here, you’ll bring your professional expertise, talent, and drive to building and managing our portfolio of iconic, ground-breaking brands. In this role, you’ll help us deliver better care for billions of people around the world. It starts with YOU.

About You

In one of our professional roles, you’ll focus on winning with consumers and the market, while putting safety, mutual respect, and human dignity at the center. In this role, you will own and operate the GBS PMO ecosystem, ensuring disciplined portfolio governance, high‑quality data, and decision‑ready insights that enable effective execution of GBS transitions and transformation initiatives. You will serve as the administrator and product owner for Smartsheet‑based portfolio solutions and enable downstream analytics and executive reporting through Power BI, helping leaders make informed, timely decisions. It starts with YOU.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Serve as the administrator and product owner for the GBS PMO ecosystem, with primary responsibility for Smartsheet and downstream reporting into Power BI.

  • Design, configure, and maintain Smartsheet solutions, including portfolio hierarchies (transitions, transformation programs, and workstreams), intake and prioritization workflows, status reporting and RAG logic, benefits and savings tracking, and capacity and resource planning models.

  • Manage user access, permissions, automation rules, forms, alerts, and templates to ensure consistency, scalability, and effective adoption across the PMO.

  • Establish and maintain PMO data standards, including required fields, definitions, lifecycle states, and governance rules.

  • Ensure data quality, completeness, and timeliness through validation rules, audits, and exception reporting.

  • Partner with IT and data teams to manage integrations, data refreshes, and reporting pipelines into Power BI.

  • Support portfolio‑level governance across GBS transitions, transformation initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.

  • Enable and run PMO operating rhythms, including portfolio reviews, intake and prioritization forums, risk and issue reviews, and benefits realization check‑ins.

  • Maintain standardized PMO artifacts such as charters, RAID logs, status reports, transition plans, and benefit trackers.

  • Enforce stage‑gate and tollgate discipline aligned with the GBS transformation methodology.

  • Track cross‑initiative dependencies and proactively escalate systemic risks or capacity constraints.

  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards for portfolio performance, including schedule and milestone health, risk and issue trends, financials, savings, benefits realization, and capacity demand versus supply.

  • Translate portfolio data into clear executive insights, highlighting trends, tradeoffs, risks, and decision points.

  • Support scenario analysis for portfolio prioritization, sequencing, and capacity planning.

  • Evolve reporting maturity from descriptive insights (“what happened”) to diagnostic and predictive insights (“why it’s happening” and “what’s at risk”).

  • Act as a trusted advisor to project managers, transition leads, and workstream owners on PMO tools, standards, and governance expectations.

  • Provide onboarding, job aids, and office hours to drive consistent adoption and usage of PMO tools.

  • Identify opportunities to automate reporting, reduce manual effort, improve cycle times, and continuously enhance PMO tooling and analytics in line with GBS strategy.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Operations, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 4–7 years of experience in PMO, portfolio management, transformation delivery, or enterprise operations.

  • Hands‑on Smartsheet administration experience, including advanced workflows, automation, and portfolio roll‑ups.

  • Experience building and maintaining Power BI dashboards for portfolio‑level or executive reporting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of PMO governance, stage‑gate methodology, and portfolio management practices.

  • High attention to detail with a strong data governance and data quality mindset. Certifications such as PMP, PMI, CMP, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, or Power BI (or equivalent).

  • Additional language capability beyond English and experience working in a global, highly matrixed organization.
