Job Summary 

As a Senior Backend Java Developer (19519), you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient software applications. Your role will involve leading technical projects, mentoring junior engineers, and continuously improving software development practices to ensure the delivery of robust and reliable software systems.  

Responsibilities and Duties 

 

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and cloud-native principles
• Build and manage containerized applications using Docker and deploy them on Kubernetes clusters across cloud and on-prem environments
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and ensure reliable, automated build, testing, and deployment processes
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize applications for scalability, resilience, and security

 

Qualifications and Skills 

 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of experience in backend development using Java and modern frameworks
• Strong experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure in SaaS or cloud-native environments
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar
• Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases and data modeling concepts
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack
• Understanding of infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or Ansible
• Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills in Agile environments
