Position Summary...

What you'll do...

The Continuous Skills Development Supervisor will be responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive skills development program that aligns with Walmart's business objectives and supports the growth and success of our associates at the Olathe, KS facility. This role will focus on creating a culture of continuous learning and development, ensuring that all associates have the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in their roles and advance their careers within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports continuous improvement strategies by helping to identify industry trends; assisting with process standardization and consistency; collaborating with leadership to prioritize key initiatives; supporting the evaluation and implementation of assessment data into program and process improvement strategies; supporting the implementation of processes for project review and approval; assisting with the development of tools and resources to drive improvement processes; identifying areas of improvement and determining solutions.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive skills development program that aligns with Walmart's business objectives and supports the growth and success of our associates in the Olathe, KS region.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, Training, and Operations to identify skill gaps and develop targeted training programs to address those gaps.
  • Knowledge of leadership development principles and methods to support the growth and development of leaders within the organization.
  • Be able to create a culture of continuous learning and development, encouraging all associates to pursue ongoing skill development and career advancement opportunities as this potion will have direct reports.
  • Design and deliver training programs that are engaging, interactive, and relevant to associates' roles and responsibilities.
  • Ability to coach and mentor associates in their professional development and career advancement.
  • Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, using metrics such as associate feedback, performance metrics, and business outcomes to inform future training initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of inclusion, diversity, and respect, ensuring that all associates feel valued and supported in their development and career advancement.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in skills development, continuously seeking out new and innovative ways to support associate growth and success.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as Education, Training, or Human Resources).
  • At least 5 years of experience in training and development, talent management, or a related field.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Auditing.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing successful training programs that drive business results.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Familiarity with Walmart's values and policies, or experience working in a similar retail or corporate environment.
  • Experience working in a retail or consumer goods environment.
  • Strong knowledge of learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Proficiency in learning management systems and other training technology platforms.
  • Experience with performance management and succession planning processes.

The annual salary range for this position is $50,000.00-$100,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...
