Keystone Human Services is currently seeking a full time Advanced Direct Support Professional to join our team of professionals in making a positive difference in the lives of our neighbors and the community.

The Advanced Direct Support Professional (ADSP) exists to teach, coach and support individuals with disabilities so that they may have opportunities for growth, meaningful life choices, and become valued and contributing members of their communities. This person acts as an effective role model to support and assist individuals to have “everyday lives”: to meet new people, develop friendships, find and maintain employment, exercise choice, maintain activities of daily living and accomplish personal goals. The ADSP position is responsible to support individuals with a high level of need as defined by clinical and/or health care assessments.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required and at least one (1) year of work experience supporting individuals with challenging behaviors or dual diagnosis of intellectual disability and mental health.
  • Actively pursuing external accredited DSP certification program dictated by established training plans and maintain certification recognized by ODP, i.e., NADD or NADSP.
  • Ability to successfully complete required Medication Administration, First Aid, and CPR certifications and their trainings mandated by regulation within specified timeframes.
  • Ability to successfully complete specialized medical or behavioral health training and expertly apply the knowledge in the field.
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing and to be able to read, interpret and apply written information.
  • Ability to learn and apply intermediate computer skills, including the use of software and other web-based systems.
  • Ability to pass required background checks and clearances.
  • Valid driver’s license and, depending on work location, may be required to have daily access to privately maintained and insured vehicle.
