Job Description

FIS Management Services, LLC seeks Business Systems Analyst Seniors in Jacksonville, FL to create requirements for new capability or enhancements to existing capability through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. Devise or modify procedures or recommend alternative solutions to solve complex problems considering computer equipment, available technology, industry requirements, capacity and limitations, operation time and form of desired results. Consider business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment.

Conduct a variety of tests such as system, integration, readiness, regression, and acceptance tests to ensure changes made by programmers are correct and there will be no adverse impacts to pre-existing capabilities. Train internal employees or external clients on changes, new systems, or new procedures. Conduct one-on-one or classroom training depending upon the size or desire of the audience. Mentor, guide, advise and check the work of less experienced Business Systems Analysts. Demonstrate business acumen skills. Work with Mainframe Migration to Linux/UNIX Omni to help clients migrate FIS NEXTGEN OmniPlus Products.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Applied Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field and six (6) years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation: performing data feeds and dB2 environment, including scans; utilizing Agile Method of Kanban to build analysis stories through the cycle to completed; designing processes that support Product scope through use of OmniScript; developing OmniScript and Unix Shell Scripts to extract reports for Business teams for future upgrades and root cause analysis on problem tickets and incidents; developing and designing solutions that assist with in recordkeeping of retirement plans; devising and/or modifying procedures; recommending alternative solutions to solve complex problems considering computer software, available technology, industry requirements, capacity and limitations, operation time and form of desired results; utilizing tools including ChangeMan, Infopac, and Endevor for analysis, deployment of code base to production and to work on stories in agile Methodology; and working with programming languages COBOL and Micro Focus COBOL and databases including DB2, ISAM, VSAM to conduct system, integration, readiness, regression, and acceptance tests to ensure changes made by programmers are correct and ensuring no adverse impacts to pre-existing capabilities. In the alternative, the employer will accept three years of study towards a Bachelor’s degree in the above listed fields and two (2) years of work experience to satisfy the Bachelor’s degree requirements.
