Your Impact:

This is a critical role in the Third Party Risk Oversight Program. As a team, we strive to meet corporate and division objectives, with the goal of reducing third party risk to Freddie Mac. Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting Director with developing and operationalizing third party risk oversight strategy, annual plan and quarterly scoping methodology across all third party types
  • Providing challenge to divisions when their risk management activities are inadequate and/or do not adhere to corporate or regulatory requirements
  • Acting as a subject matter expert and providing advisory services and/or training to support our divisions in their management of third party risk
  • Partnering with and conducting oversight of First Line Enterprise Governance Groups and shared services organizations on effective enterprise-wide governance and risk management programs
  • Developing and operationalizing reporting and analytics requirements for metrics and to inform risk profile
  • Escalating gaps and deficiencies to the appropriate partners
  • Building positive relationships with partners across all 3 Lines

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience and 10+ years of overall experience
  • 7+ years of experience in Operational Risk Management/third party risk in financial services or Mortgage Servicing
  • 2+ years of people management experience
  • Experience with influencing others, including at the executive level, and bringing people together towards a common goal
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present content of varying levels of complexity
  • Highly driven, results oriented, and looked at as a “valued partner”

Keys to Success in this Role:

  • Strong understanding of seller/servicer relationships with Freddie Mac
  • Strong, self-motivated and growth-minded leader with deep domain expertise
  • Strong detail orientation with ability to balance against organizational goals/priorities and operational excellence
  • Proven experience building and managing enterprise programs
  • Prior experience using a governance, risk and/or Compliance GRC system
  • Strong situational analysis and decision-making abilities

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $170,000 - $256,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
